Deron T. Roberson

Managing Shareholder

Deron Roberson is a co-founder and managing shareholder of Roberson & Roberson P.A. As a Florida employment lawyer, he has represented numerous victims in Tampa Bay and throughout the state. Deron believes that skilled legal representation allows all people to level the playing field against employers and corporations.

Deron received his B.A. from the University of Florida. He also received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he focused on labor and employment law. During law school, Deron gained valuable experience working with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Labor's Office of the Solicitor General, where he developed a deep understanding of the legal frameworks that protect workers' rights.

Upon completing law school, Deron worked for a boutique labor and employment law firm in South Florida, where he represented labor unions and their members in arbitration. Later, he joined an AM Top 100 law firm in Tampa, FL, representing large corporations in employment disputes. This experience gave him insight into the strategies and tactics employed by corporate legal teams.

Before establishing his own firm, Deron enjoyed a successful career as an employment lawyer for labor unions and corporations. However, he soon realized that his efforts were aiding the wrong side of the equation. Motivated by a desire to advocate for the rights of employees, Deron founded Roberson & Roberson P.A. and has since devoted his entire professional life to helping employees recover the compensation they deserve.

Deron regularly utilizes a range of federal and state statutes to advocate for his clients, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). He also leverages Florida-specific laws, such as the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA) and the Florida Whistleblower Act, to protect his clients’ rights in the workplace. His extensive knowledge of these laws enables him to craft tailored legal strategies that address the unique circumstances of each case.
